FAQ
Integrated Manufacturing Solutions for Thin-Wall Food Packaging Molds
FAQ
What types of food packaging products are your thin-wall molds suitable for?
Our thin-wall molds are designed for disposable food packaging, including plastic lunch boxes,
soup bowls, beverage cups, takeaway containers and deli trays. They are compatible with food-grade materials such as PP, PS and PET, and can be matched with high-speed injection molding production lines
Can you customize the mold if we only have physical samples and no product drawings?
Absolutely. You only need to provide physical samples. We have a professional engineering team that can reverse-engineer accurate 2D/3D product drawings from samples, then complete the full design process including mold flow analysis and structure optimization, to deliver a complete custom mold solution for you.
What steel grades do you use for thin-wall food packaging molds?
We select high-quality mold steels such as P20, S136 and H13 based on your production requirements. All steels feature excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance and thermal stability, ensuring long service life in food-grade mass production environments.
Do your molds comply with international food contact safety standards?
Yes. Our factory operates under the ISO9001 quality management system. We can provide SGS, REACH and RoHS test reports for mold materials, which meet the food contact safety regulations of most countries and regions.
What is the typical lead time for a custom thin-wall mold?
The lead time for standard thin-wall food packaging molds is usually 25–35 days, and it will be adjusted accordingly for complex multi-cavity molds. Our multi-base production layout ensures stable and on-time delivery.
What is the service life of your thin-wall molds in terms of shots?
Under standardized operation and regular maintenance, our thin-wall molds can achieve a service life of over 1 million shots. Premium steel, precision CNC machining and optimized cooling system effectively extend the mold service life.
Will you conduct trial molding and inspection before delivery?
Yes. Each set of mold will go through strict trial molding inspection before delivery. We check dimensional accuracy, product appearance, wall thickness uniformity and molding performance, and provide complete test reports and sample parts for your confirmation.
What after-sales services do you provide after mold delivery?
We provide installation guidance, operation training and maintenance advice. We also supply spare parts and support remote technical guidance. For major issues, our engineers can provide on-site service to minimize your downtime
Can your molds run on our existing high-speed injection molding machines?
Yes. Our thin-wall molds are specially designed for high-speed injection molding. The optimized gating and cooling system ensures stable molding at fast cycle speeds, and is compatible with most mainstream high-speed injection molding machine brands on the market.
What is your minimum order quantity and what trade terms do you support?
The minimum order quantity is 1 set, supporting new product development and small-batch customization. We support common trade terms such as FOB and CIF, and can arrange shipping to ports around the world.
